Reprogramming your subconscious mind and intro to mindfulness

The conscious mind is one percent of our mind and subconscious mind is 99 percent of our mind. You can think of a goal to lose weight or get in shape is our conscious mind speaking. Our subconscious mind, on the other hand, is the part that involves our past behaviors, experiences, thoughts, emotions, and our day to day actions. So ultimately, our goal is to align the subconscious mind with the conscious so that we can make that goal a reality.

That's why New Year's resolutions typically don't work. The reason being that most don't take the time to align those two together. Our subconscious mind follows our thoughts and brings forth what we want through the projection of thoughts. In essence, thoughts are energy and our subconscious mind transforms them into reality.

The great thing is, you can achieve whatever you want in life as long as you know how to program and activate your subconscious mind the right way. So, that means that you can be healthy, happy, and successful if they you make good use of your subconscious mind.

A great way to do that is through the practice of mindfulness meditation. Meditation is a very powerful technique that can help us activate and boost the power of our subconscious mind.

Homework:

If you are already meditating regularly, great job. Can you continue to improve that practice? If you are doing it for a set amount of time, try doing it for a few more minutes. If you are not meditating, start with two minutes a day. And don’t worry. Thoughts, distractions, and sometimes judgment may interfere, just slowly bring back your thoughts to an anchor that works for you.

Here are two meditation practices. One is a seated five minute meditation and one is a ten minute body scan. I highly reccomend you try these to start because of the intentional vocabulary, language, and tonality. Try to find a dedicated time and place for your practice.
